Our Process

When assessing a candidate's suitability for a role we consider the following:

  • Their likelihood of being granted security clearance if applicable
  • Their ability
  • Their past experience and qualifications
  • Their references
  • Their remuneration expectations
  • Their current personal situation (e.g. where they live, their willingness to relocate if commuting is deemed unmanageable)
  • Their ability to fit in to our client's company culture (we even try to consider how they would adapt to the specific team they would be in where we have the appropriate knowledge)

Before submitting a candidate for a position:

  • We reference check the candidate and authenticate their qualifications where applicable
  • We interview the candidate extensively quizzing them about key aspects of the roles they are applying for and their past experience (for senior positions we insist this is done face-to-face)
  • We complete a comprehensive candidate questionnaire based on the candidate to ascertain their suitability
  • We provide candidates with a clear complaints procedure under the terms of the REC Code of Professional Practice
  • We prepare an application cover sheet detailing an ‘at a glance' summary of the candidates salient abilities and provide it with their application

Before sending a candidate for an interview:

  • We provide them with clear precise instructions regarding the time and date of the interview, the venue, directions to get there in plenty of time, locations suitable for over night accommodation (as necessary), details of the interviewers and the form the interview will take ( face to face, panel, presentation etc.)
  • We brief the candidate on what will be expected from them
  • We arrange to consult with them after their interview to gauge their reaction
  • We offer them encouragement

Our recruitment system allows us to effectively manage all candidate data collected during the consideration process (including records of communications and documents associated with the candidate i.e. candidate questionnaires). This system then allows us to quickly respond for requests for information from our clients and improves our ability to improve our processes (such as candidate selection etc). We also feel it improves relationships with our candidates as we can offer a more personalised and comprehensive service which includes fully preparing candidates for any interviews

 

NB - We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 - No: Z133874X. We observe a strict code of practise in order to comply with our obligations under the 1998 Data Protection Act by periodically cleansing our database to ensure that data is not held beyond the period agreed.
